Compare crypto staking rewards
This page compares the staking and rewards programs currently exposed through the live exchange links on this site: Coinbase, Kraken, Binance.US, and Gemini. The focus is not just the biggest number on a banner. It is the actual tradeoff between reward headline, fees, payout timing, unstaking flexibility, and U.S. availability.
Official public pages were checked on March 11, 2026. Rates remain asset-specific and can change, so this page should be treated as a platform comparison, not a promise that any specific token will keep the same reward forever.
Platform-by-platform differences
Coinbase
- Coinbase publicly supports staking for ADA, ATOM, AVAX, DOT, ETH, POL, SOL, and XTZ.
- Coinbase says rewards are usually paid every 1 to 7 days depending on the asset.
- Coinbase says its standard staking commission is 35% of rewards.
- Coinbase also offers instant unstaking on supported assets for a 1% fee, which is a real UX advantage if flexibility matters more than squeezing out the highest headline rate.
Kraken
- Kraken currently markets up to 21% yearly rewards on its staking page, depending on asset and staking mode.
- Kraken says staking rewards are paid weekly.
- Kraken separates flexible Auto Earn from bonded staking, which gives users more choice than a single one-size-fits-all product.
- Kraken says Auto Earn users in the U.S. and most other jurisdictions pay a 30% commission on staking rewards, and U.S. staking availability still depends on state and territory.
Binance.US
- Binance.US does not frame staking as one flat rate. It frames rewards as estimates that vary by asset and market conditions.
- Its current FAQ says the platform supports 21 staking assets with asset-specific bonding and unbonding periods.
- Binance.US says staking rewards are paid weekly for most assets and monthly for some coins.
- Its current staking service fee range is 9.95% to 39.95%, depending on the asset.
Gemini
- Gemini publicly markets up to 3% APR for ETH staking and up to 6% APR for SOL staking.
- Gemini says its staking fee is 25% of rewards.
- Gemini says rewards update once per day.
- Gemini announced on February 10, 2026 that staking is available in all 50 U.S. states, including New York, which makes it more relevant than many people assume for U.S.-based traffic.
What actually gives the most rewards?
On public headline numbers alone, Kraken is currently the most aggressive of the live exchange links on this site. But that does not automatically make it the best fit. A beginner who cares about convenience may still prefer Coinbase. A user who wants the clearest fee and payout table may prefer Binance.US. A New York user focused mostly on ETH or SOL may find Gemini easier to understand and actually available.
The right answer depends on what the user cares about most: top-end upside, simple UX, fee transparency, faster access to unstaking, or state-level availability.

These answers stay tied to the current official terms and positioning used on this page.
Which platform currently shows the strongest public staking headline?
Kraken currently has the strongest public headline reward claim among the live exchange links used in this project.
Why does Coinbase still matter if Kraken's headline is higher?
Because Coinbase remains easier for a beginner who values simple UX and easier unstaking behavior more than the most aggressive public reward claim.
